Crisis Support Service

We have an experienced team of counsellors and social workers professionally trained in sexual harm support. They are available for you in the short term, so that you have someone who understands your needs and is there to help support you in a way that works for you.

Our counsellors and social workers support:

  • Anyone affected by sexual harm
  • Anyone experiencing the impact of historical sexual harm
  • Whanau and friends in need of strategies to help

Medical Support

At Tautoko Mai Sexual Harm Support, we provide free medical checks and support for survivors of sexual assault, including:

  • Forensic and medical examinations
  • STI tests
  • Pregnancy tests

Our medical specialists are experienced in sexual harm and trauma care. They will support you with treatment options, advice, information and answers to any pātai/questions you may have.

ACC Sensitive Claims Counselling Support

If you have experienced any form of sexual harm, you may be eligible for long-term ACC funded counselling. We will refer you to an ACC Counsellor, who can best meet your needs.

ACC funded counselling not only offers long-term counselling support, your ACC Counsellor may also:

  • Assist with information and access to other funded support options
  • Ensure your safety and hauora longer term
  • Assist you to apply to ACC for further help if needed

We also offer access to ACC funded support for eligible carers of tamariki and adolescents who have been sexually assaulted or abused.

Secondary Schools Preventative Programme/In-School Support

The ACC Mates & Dates programme. A healthy relationships programme for secondary school students.

Mates & Dates is a programme taught in secondary school, focused on giving young people the skills and knowledge to develop healthy relationships based on respect and consent.
